Is the $7.2 Aster price prediction achievable under present trading conditions, or does current technical structure signal limits to further upside?

Summary

  • Aster debuted in September 2025, gaining attention through Binance-linked backing before losing over 30% amid October’s market crash and transparency concerns.
  • The exchange enables cross-chain spot and perpetual trading, offering dual trading modes, yield-based collateral, and growing competition with Hyperliquid.
  • Technical charts show cautious optimism, with analysts watching $1.60 resistance and $1.30 support as key levels defining near-term direction.
  • Aster price prediction models diverge widely, with targets ranging from $1.04 to $7.2.

Aster’s early surge undone by selloff

Aster entered the public market in mid-September 2025 as a new decentralized exchange built to support both spot and perpetual trading. It quickly drew attention due to its strong backers and early endorsements.

Aster’s (ASTER) development traces back to YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs, and public praise from Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao amplified market interest during its launch.

According to CoinMarketCap data, as of Oct. 15, ASTER trades around $1.47 with a 24-hour trading volume of nearly $1.26 billion and a circulating supply of about 2.01 billion tokens.

The token has fallen about 30% over the past week, marking a steeper drop than most major cryptocurrencies in the same period. At its all-time high in late September, ASTER reached $2.41, placing its current price roughly 40% below that peak.

Market volatility intensified on Oct. 10 when the global crypto sector experienced a sudden liquidation wave following President Donald Trump’s new tariffs on Chinese imports.

The policy decision created uncertainty, driving Bitcoin (BTC) down by nearly 10% within hours. ASTER declined even more sharply, falling from above $1.83 to below $1.20 during a single trading session.

Concerns about transparency had already emerged earlier. On Oct. 5, DeFi Llama delisted Aster’s perpetual futures data, citing irregular trading activity that appeared similar to centralized exchange flows. The decision raised doubts about the accuracy of Aster’s reported volumes and added additional pressure on its price.

Let’s understand Aster’s price prediction by examining its structure, core functionality, and how its technical data is shaping current market expectations.

Aster and Hyperliquid in direct competition

Aster operates as a decentralized exchange that supports both spot and perpetual derivatives trading without directly holding user funds. It offers multi-chain access, leveraged trading, and a built-in reward system that encourages user participation.

Its design follows a dual interface model that separates users by experience level. The Simple Mode offers a straightforward entry point for traders who prefer quick execution and an easy-to-use interface. It provides leverage options of up to 1001× and includes MEV protection, a security feature that minimizes the risks of front-running and sandwich attacks.

The Pro Mode introduces a more advanced interface similar to that of centralized exchanges. It includes tools such as hidden orders, grid trading, multi-asset margining, and several complex order types, giving professional traders greater flexibility in their strategies.

Aster’s Trade & Earn mechanism forms the foundation of its value proposition. On most derivatives platforms, collateral remains idle and does not produce any yield.

Aster changes that by allowing collateral to be yield-bearing while being used in leveraged trades. This means that staked tokens or yield-generating assets can earn returns even as they support active positions.

Cross-chain trading serves as another major component of the platform. Aster supports or plans to support several blockchains, including Ethereum (ETH), BNB Chain (BNB), Arbitrum (ARB), and Solana (SOL).

Liquidity is aggregated across networks, so users do not need to bridge assets manually between chains. They can trade directly from their chosen network while the protocol manages settlements in the background.

Aster generates revenue primarily from trading fees, funding rates, liquidations, and yields earned on collateral. It also uses promotional incentives such as airdrops and liquidity rewards to encourage early adoption.

In terms of tokenomics, ASTER has a total supply capped at 8 billion tokens. A considerable share is allocated for incentives, governance, and community programs.

However, reports indicate that more than 90% of the total supply is held by a few wallets, creating concerns about decentralization and the potential for price manipulation through concentrated sell pressure.

Among its competitors, Hyperliquid (HYPE) stands out as the closest rival. Hyperliquid operates its own Layer 1 blockchain called HyperEVM, powered by the HyperBFT consensus mechanism. The network focuses on high-speed execution and decentralized validation, aiming to deliver performance comparable to centralized platforms while staying on-chain.

While Aster’s growth has been rapid, Hyperliquid maintains an established user base and steady open interest, which measures the total value of active leveraged positions.

According to WU Blockchain, on Oct. 7, Aster briefly surpassed Hyperliquid in daily trading volume, reaching around $41.78 billion in 24 hours compared with Hyperliquid’s $9.02 billion.

Analysts, however, caution that Aster’s reported figures may include promotional or double-counted transactions due to ongoing incentive programs.

The perpetual decentralized exchange market as a whole has been expanding quickly, surpassing $1 trillion in monthly trading volume in September 2025, according to The Block. Within that expanding environment, Aster and Hyperliquid have emerged as leading contenders competing for market share.

Technical patterns show mixed momentum

Technical sentiment surrounding Aster has turned cautiously optimistic after a volatile week. The token’s price fell to around $1.16 during the early October selloff but has since rebounded to about $1.47, reclaiming an important support zone that some analysts consider an early sign of recovery.

Independent market analyst Ardi noted that Aster’s rebound from its local low shows “an early sign of bullish recovery,” though he cautioned that it remains “too early to call a full reversal.”

Chart patterns indicate that the token has broken out of its downward trading channel. However, for the trend to shift decisively, Aster must hold above the $1.60 resistance level. Ardi added that failure to do so keeps the token within a “broader bearish framework.”

If the price slips below $1.41, a retest of the $1.30 zone could follow, suggesting that selling pressure continues to dominate.

From a wider market perspective, Aster’s price movement aligns with a phase of stabilization across the crypto market after last week’s liquidation wave.

Jolly Green Investor, another analyst following the token, observed that Aster has “bounced off the 0.618 Fibonacci level” and continues to “show strength as the market rebounds.”

Even so, resistance remains firm between $1.58 and $1.65, an area that matches key Fibonacci extension levels and previous rejection points.

Trading activity remains strong, with daily volume averaging over $1 billion, indicating steady participation despite short-term uncertainty.

If Aster successfully clears the $1.60 resistance level with consistent volume, the next Fibonacci target near $1.66 may come into view. Failure to maintain current levels could lead to another drop toward the $1.30 region, signaling that bears still have control of the market.

Aster price prediction for 2025 and beyond

Aster’s price outlook for the coming years presents a mixed picture across different forecasting platforms.

According to CoinCodex, the Aster price prediction for 2025 places the token between $1.06 and $1.51, suggesting a modest potential gain of about 3% if it reaches the upper target.

The platform’s model anticipates a wider range for 2026, projecting prices between $1.04 and $4.10 with a median estimate of about $2.03.

DigitalCoinPrice offers a more bullish outlook. Its Aster coin price prediction for 2025 places the average price near $3.06, nearly double CoinCodex’s most optimistic case, and projects a possible high of $3.20.

The platform expects the rally to extend through 2026, with an estimated average of $3.62 and a potential high of $3.79. If achieved, this would represent an increase of roughly 150% from current levels.

Over a longer horizon, both platforms remain optimistic but differ in scale. CoinCodex’s Aster crypto price prediction for 2030 indicates a range between $2.75 and $6.28, implying a possible gain of more than 300% from current prices if the upper level is reached. DigitalCoinPrice is considerably more optimistic, forecasting an average near $7.89 and a potential high of $7.95.

Adding to these projections, some market analysts expect even greater upside. Sr Peters, a crypto analyst known for early-stage DeFi insights, stated that “$7.20 is my target for $ASTER before the end of the year.”

His outlook aligns with unverified discussions on social media about a possible pardon for Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao under the Trump administration. Although speculative, the rumor has sparked renewed retail interest in Binance-linked projects such as Aster.

These forecasts, however, rely on algorithmic and sentiment-based data models that cannot predict unexpected market developments, regulatory changes, or internal project shifts. Price movements in crypto remain highly volatile and unpredictable.

Such projections should be viewed as general estimates rather than certainties. Investors should always conduct independent research and avoid investing more than they can afford to lose.
