Based, an omnichannel trading platform built on top of Hyperliquid (HYPE), announced a major upgrade to its livestream crypto trading ecosystem following a successful prototype run.
Drawing on insights from its initial 48‑hour experiment livestream, Based plans to roll out an upgraded version of its livestream crypto trading feature. The new system will integrate instant on-chain donations, copy-trading mechanics, multiple revenue streams for streamers, and enhanced discoverability through major video platforms.
After the upgrade, streamers on Based will be able to tap into three distinct revenue streams:
- direct donations in USD, BTC, ETH or HYPE via the Hyperliquid infrastructure with no intermediaries;
- a 30 % share of trading-fees generated when viewers copy their trades;
- and additional earnings from being broadcast or embedded on YouTube.
On the platform side, all positions will be routed through Hyperliquid, ensuring trades are fully transparent and verifiable.
The rise of livestream crypto trading
Major platforms are now rolling out livestream crypto trading features that go beyond simple automated copy trading, combining real-time market analysis with interactive content. In May, Binance launched its Live Trading feature on Binance Square, allowing users to watch verified traders in action and place Spot or Futures trades directly from the stream. Around the same time, Bitget also introduced a live streaming option for crypto content creators.
Meanwhile, Soon is preparing to launch a livestreaming copy-trading extension on Simpfor.fun, allowing users to interact and trade directly through platforms like Twitch via embedded LiveTrade widgets.
